We are taking a responsible approach to how our coffee is packaged in order to minimise our impact on the planet for future generations, including our daughters.
Our innovative packaging is made from LDPE4 (low density polyethylene) recyclable film and contains a valve for freshness.
Storage
Store in an airtight container away from light, moisture and strong odours.
Decaffeination process
Natural Mountain Water Process using pure water from Pico de Orizaba, the highest mountain in Mexico. This method involves indirect, non-chemical decaffeination; the beans are steamed and prepared for the extraction process which uses a water-based saturated solution to remove caffeine while keeping the flavour compounds in place
Roasting process
Our coffee is roasted in small batches using a convection roaster to ensure a consistent and even roast with no burnt patches.
Sourcing of coffee beans
The coffee traders who supply our coffee protect the welfare of coffee farmers through adherence to the Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI). The traders have their own programmes of social and ethical monitoring which include regular visits to suppliers. The traders also have their own sourcing policies and codes of practice, which they agree with their suppliers, and these cover aspects such as Human Rights, Forced Labour/Modern Slavery, Child Labour, Positively Impacting Farmers’ Livelihoods and Prosperity, ETI Base Code, Environmental Impact and Bribery/Corruption.
