Banana Cream Coffee Recipe

Our friend Barista Joe suggested that we try a Banana Cream coffee this summer and we haven’t looked back! The banana adds a natural sweetness and richness to the coffee and it’s DELICIOUS.

We thought you might like to try it for yourselves so here’s the recipe:

  • A double shot of espresso (use your favourite coffee blend)
  • 150 mls of milk (we use whole milk)
  • 1 small ripe banana
  • 10 ice cubes (or more!)
  • Honey or other sweetener (optional)

Blend your banana cream:

  1. Add one small, ripe banana and 150 mls of milk to a blender and blend until smooth.

Prepare your coffee:

  1. Prepare a double shot of your favourite espresso using your method of choice – we like to use an AeroPress or an espresso machine.

Combine for delicious goodness:

  1. Add the ice cubes to a glass followed by the banana cream mix and finally the double shot of espresso.
  2. Add 2 teaspoons of honey or other sweetener (optional).
  3. Stir and enjoy!
